If you ask me where to stay in Jackson Hole, one of my favorite answers is always The Cloudveil.
Jackson Hole is one of our favorite destinations in the United States. It is a place we return to multiple times each year for its mountain scenery, charming western town and endless outdoor adventures. After staying in several properties over the years, The Cloudveil Hotel in Jackson Hole stands out as one of our top choices.
Located directly on historic Town Square, The Cloudveil blends mountain modern luxury with unbeatable convenience, something that becomes especially valuable when traveling as a family.

Location: The Only Hotel Located on Jackson Hole Town Square
One of the biggest reasons we love The Cloudveil is simple: location, location, location.

The Cloudveil is the only hotel located directly on Jackson Hole’s Town Square, meaning you walk out of the door and immediately step into the heart of town.
- No searching for parking.
- No long walks with kids.
- No driving back and forth for dinner reservations and shopping.
Everything is right outside of your door:
- Restaurants
- Iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar
- Boutiques
- Ice cream shops
- Art galleries
- Custom hat shops
- The iconic elk antler arches

For families especially, this convenience is priceless. After a full day exploring Grand Teton National Park or skiing , being able to stroll back to your hotel in minutes makes the entire trip easier.
A Modern Mountain Luxury Hotel
The Cloudveil perfectly captures what I call cozy luxury, elevated but welcoming, refined but relaxed.
The design reflects Jackson Hole’s mountain setting with warm wood tones, stone textures, neutral palettes and western inspired details.
It feels upscale without ever feeling stuffy, exactly what you want after a day hiking, skiing or exploring.

Many rooms have views of Town Square or the beautiful surrounding mountains, adding to the beauty of this hotel even more.
The Bistro: A Must-Visit Dining Spot in Jackson Hole
One of the highlights of staying at The Cloudveil is The Bistro, located just off the lobby of the hotel.
Even if you aren’t staying at the hotel, locals and visitors come here for an excellent brunch or an amazing dinner option. It is a French inspired restaurant, known for its fresh oyster bar, seasonal dishes and house made pastries for breakfast. The Bistro is also a part of Jackson Hole’s Fine Dining Restaurant Group which is award-winning restaurants that focus on quality, value, and culinary expertise
It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed fine dining dinner without ever leaving the property, which is especially nice after long travel days or busy park adventures.

Is The Cloudveil Family-Friendly?
The answer to that question is absolutely. While The Cloudveil feels luxurious, it is also incredibly welcoming for families. The central location means fewer logistics, easier nights and spontaneous walks around town.
Families will appreciate the walkability to dining and activities, spacious rooms, casual atmosphere, and easy access to excursions and tours. But the biggest hit with my kids is always a pool, and The Cloudveil has an amazing pool area with hot tub that can be used year round.

Things to Do Near The Cloudveil Hotel
Because of its Town Square location, many Jackson Hole experiences are just steps away.
WALK TOWN SQUARE
Browse western shops, grab coffee, and take photos under the famous antler arches.

VISIT GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK
Just a short drive away, offering hiking, wildlife viewing, scenic drives and unforgettable mountain views. I highly recommend a wildlife tour through the park. It’s the best way to see some of the best wildlife. The guides do this daily and are so knowledgeable. Plus they provide you with all of the best equipment for spotting wildlife.
SNOW KING MOUNTAIN
Located just minutes from the hotel, Snow King Mountain is the perfect place for families. There is so much to do there: skiing, snow tubing, alpine coaster, and gondola rides.

JACKSON HOLE MOUNTAIN RESORT
World class skiing in the winter and hiking and gondola rides in the summer.
SLEIGH RIDE THROUGH THE ELK REFUGE

If you are in Jackson Hole in the winter, you have to take a sleigh ride through the elk refuge. It is one of the most iconic winter experiences in Wyoming. Located just minutes from The Cloudveil, the refuge is home to thousands of elk that migrate to the valley each winter. You can book this sleigh ride from December through early April.
JACKSON HOLE RODEO
If you are visiting in the summer don’t miss the Jackson Hole Rodeo. A true western traditional rodeo that has been a part of Jackson Hole for over a century. It is also just minutes from the Town Square and The Cloudveil. The rodeo runs most Wednesday and Saturday nights from late May to early September; with some Friday night rodeos during peak summer season.
