Head to Little Italy North End district for dinner at Carmelina’s. This was one of our very favorite restaurants on our trip. And you must grab a cannoli at Mike’s Pastry for dessert.

Rent a car from Turo to take the 1.5 hour drive into Newport.
Brunch at Vanderbilt hotel.
Shop around Thames Street. So many cute shops to explore.
Then head to the Newport Mansions and explore the beauty of these homes. Our favorite was definitely The Breakers.
Day 4: The Freedom Trail and Seaport District
The Freedom Trail is a must do on any Boston vacation. On this trail you can see Paul Revere’s home, the cemetery where he is buried plus John Hancock and Samuel Adams are buried here as well. You can also see where the Declaration of Independence was first read to Bostonians. Plus so much more. There is so much American history on this trail and it is easily walkable. They have guided tours or you can do it on your own. We downloaded the app and did it on our own. It truly was the highlight of the trip.
Have lunch on the Freedom Trail at The Bell in Hand Tavern. This is the oldest Tavern in America. The food was excellent and the drinks were even better.
Dinner at Coquette. The food here was amazing. It is definitely a great way to end your fantastic long weekend trip in Boston.
