I cannot even begin to explain how amazing our trip to the Bahamas was. If you’re looking for a kid-friendly and seamless travel experience, I advise you to keep reading.
We took the kids to the Bahamas for a little summer vacation. The goal was to travel somewhere suitable for children while maintaining a quick and easy trip. This was hands down, one of my top 5 favorite family vacation destinations, and here’s why!

RESORTS TO STAY AT
Like any vacation, the first step is finding an ideal location that is most suitable for your family’s plans. We stayed at the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, The Bahamas. This resort encompasses three different hotels, each with a different feel. Whether you are looking for a girls’ trip or a fun family getaway, the Baha Mar Resort has the perfect stay for you.

Although it may look all-inclusive, it is not. This is a “cashless” resort. After check-in, you will receive a wristband, which will be your wallet for the trip. If you have ever been to Disney World, it’s the same concept as the ‘magic bands’ that are used there. With that, you will get charged $200 per day for food, rather than paying at each restaurant. This charge is put on hold until the end of your stay.

WHAT TO DO
When I say there is no shortage of fun-filled activities to do with your family, I mean it!
- Splash it up at the Water Park. Baha Bay is the resort’s new luxury waterpark! As a resort guest, you get unlimited access to Baha Bay directly adjacent to the resort. This is not like any other waterpark you have been to! Included are: Turtle Beach, Stingray Cove, The River, Baha Bay Lagoon (a mini beach that was perfect for lounging), and a variety of water slides.

- Want to go lay by the pool, no worries! There are eleven different pools to choose from, all different in their own way. Our kid’s personal favorite was Dean’s Blue Hole, by far the COOLEST thing I have ever seen! This particular pool area is home to alluring waterfalls, 10 ft rock walls to jump from, and a secluded grotto with a window to swim with sea turtles and sharks!

- Have you ever seen or experienced giant, inflatable ocean toys? By far one of the coolest things I have ever seen and we had an absolute blast on them! Other ocean activities include paddle boarding, kayaking, and Cable Beach – a relaxing spot to grab a couple of adult beverages. At the same time, the kids wear themselves out with the ocean toys and activities.

WHAT TO EAT
As much fun and amazing activities and hotels’ are…..there is nothing more important than food. Let’s be honest, vacation week means abandoning the diet and enjoying the tastiest food you find. To make things easier, the Baha Mar Resort has an app to make reservations through, along with other requests, such as transportation and event hours.
One thing to make note of is these restaurants fill up pretty fast! To be safe, I recommend making reservations a month in advance to secure your spot at the most delicious restaurants in the resort. Here is a wide variety of family-friendly locations to dine with your children at the Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas.

As you can see, the Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas is a truly magical place for the whole family. If you haven’t thought about bringing your children here for a family fun vacation, then I HIGHLY recommend that you add it to the top of your list.
