Alpine Falls Ranch | Location

Alpine Falls Ranch is located in Superior, Montana which is about 45 minutes from Missoula, Montana. Missoula has an airport, making travel to Alpine Falls Ranch a breeze. We flew American Airlines into the Missoula airport. Find the best flight deals HERE.

The ranch will coordinate with you and offers pickup and transportation to and from the airport in a luxury SUV as well. So as soon as you land in Montana, your luxury vacation starts.

Luxury Ranch Resort | Accommodations

Let’s start with the accommodations that this property offers. There are several types of accommodation options here. Everything from cabins, to chalets, to a beautiful mountain villa that will sleep over 20 people.

We stayed in the Mountain View Villa which had 6 bedrooms, a state of the art luxury kitchen, theater, bar, luxury bathrooms, and views for miles.

We had the most amazing time spending our nights in this beautiful home. Every night we would gather as a family and watch a movie in the theater, play games in the breakfast area or just sit outside and listen to nature.

Luxury Ranch Resort | Experiences and Activities

The ranch offers so many experiences that is hard to list them all. A lot of these experiences happen right on the ranch as well. Some of the experiences that you can do right on the ranch include: horseback riding, wagon rides, glamping, campfire cookouts, trail rides, UTV rides, hiking, and more.

There are also plenty of experiences that the ranch will curate for you that aren’t necessarily located on the ranch, but they pick you up or you can drive the luxury SUV yourself to these experiences. Some of these experiences include: fly fishing, scenic floats and whitewater rafting on the Clark Fork River.

Wagon Ride

We were able to do most of these experiences during our stay at Alpine Falls Ranch. One of our favorite experiences was the wagon ride through the beautiful mountains surrounding the ranch. An old-fashioned wagon ride with Clydesdale horses in the most picturesque setting is something that I will never forget. Then we ended the night with a campfire with s’mores and charcuterie. It could not have been more perfect.

Horseback Riding

Take a ride at the Ranch. Whether you are novice or experienced rider, there is something for everyone. The horse trainers are amazing and will help even the most inexperienced rider feel comfortable on their horse. Start off in the arena and learn the ropes. Then you can move on to more trails and beautiful rides through the mountains. This was my daughter’s favorite experience and now she wants a horse!

Experiences On The Water

Now my family also loves to be on the water. My husband, Andy, and my son are fly fishing fanatics so going out with the guide and fishing the Clark Fork River was right up their alley. You don’t have to be an experienced fly fisherman to experience this. The guide is fantastic and will help even the most novice fly fisher.

We also took a scenic float as a family down the Clark Fork River and the views are just incredible. This was my favorite thing we did while on the trip.

The ranch also provided us with a guided UTV ride up the mountain to Diamond Lake which was insanely beautiful. When we got to the top of the mountain, we were able to see snow during the middle of summer which was so neat. One great thing about the UTVs, is that they can leave them for you to explore on your own as well. We had the UTV all week. Every night we would go out and take rides around the ranch and surrounding mountains. We loved looking for wildlife. We saw so many elk and deer. It was truly so peaceful and beautiful.

Luxury Ranch Resort | Dining

This was one of my favorites parts of the entire trip. With some packages, you will get a private chef, and she is absolutely fantastic. She prepared meals for us that were planned and discussed to fit our family’s likes and tastes.

The cool thing was she could either come into the villa and prepare a meal for you, or there is also a saloon on property where she can also prepare the meals. We did this one night of the trip and it was such a fun experience. She even prepared our “picnic” meals for when we were out of the house on our excursions and activities. First class all the way.

Not only can you take an incredible, unique vacation here, but they also host many events. You can have a beautiful wedding with an amazing backdrop. The ranch will help you have the wedding of your dreams. You can also host corporate events here as well. You can purchase a complete ranch buyout if you wish.

There are so many different ways to experience the resort. You can hop online and go right to their website and book preplanned packages, room only, etc., or it can also be as customizable as you want. This is what I loved the most about the ranch. Jason and Sarah, the ranch managers, can completely customize your trip from top to bottom.

I was in contact with Jason through email and phone before our trip. He will work with your budget and set up a vacation that is perfect for you and your family. It can be as all-inclusive as you want with all meals and activities included, or you can pick and choose meals and experiences separately.

We went back and forth planning our perfect trip. We were then sent a customized itinerary for our trip, and it was everything I had hoped for and more.

What to Pack

Packing for Montana will require some planning. The weather can go from 70s/80s during the day, to 40s at night, even in the summer. So be sure to pack layers when heading to Alpine Falls Ranch. You will want clothing for your activities as well. Think cowboy boots for horseback riding, quick-drying fabrics for rafting, and of course Western attire if you want to dress the part.
